I been using this for the last three months and I have never had any bad affect with this product. It's safe, easy to used and you don't have to worry about popping a pill everyday. You can buy it at any drugstore and it cost less then Yaz and other birth controls.

The Today Sponge has come back on the market, so women can buy it again at a reasonable price. Just go to the Today Sponge's website to order them. I am hoping that Amazon will begin to carry them at their list price too.
The product itself is easy to use and works great. I love that it's an over the counter contraceptive, so unlike a diaphragm I don't have to see a doctor to get them.
Great product, easy to use and effective. But, available in stores again for less September 27, 2009

Today Sponge is a great alternative to other forms of birth control. I was happy to see it back on the market last year, and upset when it abruptly disappeared. As the other reviewer said, though, it is once again back on the market and now widely-available in drugstores, and only about $14.99 (at the most - depends on where you get it) for 3 sponges. I'm not sure why amazon is still charging over 3 times what it costs in stores, as if it is a hard-to-come-by item.

I think this is a great product for many of the reasons already listed. I love that it allows for some degree of spontaneity while not filling my body with hormones, and it's very comfortable to use. I ordered directly from Mayer (a little less expensive than listed here) and was unpleasantly surprised to see that the box of 12 expires in less than 9 months. Chances are we'll have used them by then, but I find that an extremely short expiration date when I've seen others with 2 years or more. Not a happy customer........
